MUSIC

IMG_8475.JPG

Elina Mustonen has a unique touch for her instrument. Unlike many of her colleagues, she began playing the harpsichord as a child. Today Elina is one of the most distinguished harpsichord players and teachers in the Nordic region. She has been named an Artist Professor by the Arts Promotion Centre Finland.

Elina’s repertoire is exceptionally broad, stretching from the renaissance to contemporary music. She is equally at home as a soloist and chamber musician. She has also been actively involved in cross-artistic experiments, combining her skills as a musician and actress.

Elina has also devoted a great deal of time to animal protection. Her enthusiasm was not at all diminished by the fact that, despite many attempts, she failed to teach her childhood friend, a parakeet named Eppu, how to coo like a cuckoo.
